Happy 4th of July! Today we are making a FIRE 4th of July cocktail recipe that ironically keeps you cool and refreshed.
This cocktail is a great match for your summer bbq or cookout. I mean who doesn’t love an ice cold cocktail on a hot summer day?
This 4th of July cocktail recipe is a red, white, and blue twist on the famous cocktail called a Pina Colada.
For this recipe I used a homemade strawberry puree but you can also muddle strawberries with some agave and it will give you a similar flavor profile.
If you want to be extra celebratory this holiday, try flaming your cinnamon garnish to make is really spark like a firecracker (Please don’t try this at home, leave this to the professionals if you have never done this technique before).
But anyway, let’s get lit like a firecracker this holiday with this cocktail recipe!
How to make the Firecracker Colada, a 4th of July cocktail recipe
In a shaking tin
1 oz white rum
1 oz dark rum
1 oz cream of coconut
1 1/2 oz pineapple juice
Add a small scoop of crushed ice and whip shake until all the ice has dissolved
In a hurricane glass add desired amount of strawberry puree
Pour the cocktail into a hurricane glass

Garnish with flamed cinnamon and black berries on a firework cocktail pick. Get the same cocktail picks here!
