When I first turned 21, the Dirty Shirley was one of the first cocktails I would order when I went out with my sisters to a bar. It’s also one of the first cocktails I ever learned how to make.
Naturally, when you first turn 21 you typically go for sweet drinks that can hide the alcohol, and this drink did just that.
This cocktail is basically the grown up version of a Shirley Temple.
There are two ways you can make the Dirty Shirley, the basic way and the upgraded way.

You really only need 3 ingredients.
In a glass of choice filled with ice
2 oz vodka
Fill with sprite
Top with grenadine
Garnish with a cherry

1/2 oz lemon juice
1/2 oz lime juice
fill with club soda
top with homemade grenadine
