If you’re looking for a bubbly Valentine Day drinks, this cocktail Butterfly Kisses is right up your ally!
For this cocktail, I really wanted to turn it purple because I feel like purple is an adorable valentine’s color that gets slept on and underutilized.
I was able to achieve this purple color by using butterfly pea flower tea and turning it into a syrup by adding in sugar. I also added edible purple glitter to really emphasize the purple (there are links at the bottom of this post for the exact ingredients I used if you want to recreate it).
Another way you can make this cocktail purple is by using an indigo gin instead. Gin can be used as a replacement for tequila in this cocktail, it’s really up to your preference. (if you choose indigo gin instead, then just use regular simple syrup)
When I was trying to come up with the name for this cocktail, “Butterfly Kisses” literally just popped into my head and immediately I was like “That’s perfect!”
AND if you can’t tell by looking at the ingredients below, Butterfy Kisses is essentially a riff off of the beloved classic aviation cocktail.
With fantastic flavors of maraschino, lemon, rose, butterfly pea tea, and champagne, this cocktail is the perfect, light sipper for valentine’s day.
