Halloween is quickly approaching and what better way to celebrate than with the Death in the Afternoon cocktail.
Although this cocktail was not initially created for halloween, I figured it’s spooky sounding name as well as its addition of absinthe makes it the perfect cocktail to enjoy this holiday season.
This cocktail was created by the famous author Ernest Hemingway and has become a familiar classic cocktail.
If you are not scared of absinthe or intensely strong cocktails, this one is definitely worth giving a try.

1 1/2 oz absinthe
4 1/2 oz cold champagne
*Green Edible Glitter garnish (optional) for extra halloween vibes
