When it come to Thanksgiving, most people think about preparing the dinner and not so much about a Thanksgiving cocktail that they will drink.
If you like Old Fashioneds and aren’t afraid to give it a holiday twist, this cocktail would be the best drink to sip on this Thanksgiving.
This recipe calls for the standard bourbon as its main base, however I decided to add a bit of pechuga mezcal. The mezcal gives the drink a light smokey and savory flavor similar to a thanksgiving turkey.
Along with that the accompaniment of a spiced cranberry syrup and black walnut bitters, this cocktail fully encompasses the vibe of a thanksgiving dinner in the form of an old fashioned.
