The Gold Rush cocktail is one of my favorite classic cocktails that are severely underated!
Although it’s well known amongst the craft cocktail community, I think most everyday people don’t know of it’s existence and are simply missing out.
Since St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner I figured that it would be the perfect time to share this recipe with you.
Although the origins of this cocktail are not related to St. Patrick’s Day whatsoever, I think the theme of gold work perfectly for the holiday.
The Gold Rush is super easy to make with only three ingredients, so let’s jump right in!

In a shaking tin
2 oz bourbon
1 oz lemon juice
1 oz honey simple syrup
Small spoonful gold edible glitter (optional)
Add ice and shake
Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice
Garnish with a lemon
