How to make Homemade Strawberry Puree
Making strawberry puree is incredibly simple to make!
First, we are going to cut some strawberries into smaller chunks on a cutting board with a knife. I used about 18-20 medium sized strawberries for this recipe.
Cutting the strawberries will allow the strawberry juices to flow more freely and will make it easier to blend later on.
Next, Add in about 1/4 cup of sugar into the pot and heat the stove to a medium heat.
Then add about 1/2 ounce of lime juice, which should equal about a half of a lime.
Give the mixture a quick stir and let simmer until you start seeing some light bubbles form to the top, but don’t burn.
Add a pinch of salt and stir.
Next, use an immersion hand blender and blend the mixture until desired thickness.
Then turn off the heat and let the strawberry puree cool.
Optional: Strain out any large chunks and seeds.
Last but not least, pour the strawberry puree into a container to store.

Strawberry puree can be stored in the fridge for 2-3 days, however you can always add a touch of alcohol to increase the shelf life.
I hope you enjoy this recipe and give it a try in your next cocktail!
