The Espresso Martini is one of the simplest cocktails, yet it can be very complicated to make.

Crafting this cocktail is truly an art because of one its defining characteristics coming from the foam layer that lies on top of the cocktail. The best way to create that perfect signature foam is by using fresh espresso, but there are also other ways to mimic this aesthetic.

Of course you can make espresso martinis without fresh espresso. In fact there are many bars and restaurants that make great espresso martinis with other forms of coffee ingredients.

The Espresso Martini over the recent years has become one of the most popular and highly requested cocktails, and for good reason. Nowadays, you can find all different types of variations on this classic build, but sometimes it’s good to be brought back to the basic formula.

This recipe is the most traditional recipe on how to make an Espresso Martini, so let’s make it!
