I don’t know how popular it is in other parts of the country, but out here in southern California, the Mexican Candy Shot is one of the most popular shot recipes!
Now, there are quite a few different recipes out there for how to make a Mexican Candy Shot and every bartender has their own spin on it as well. I actually made a video where I tasted different Mexican Candy Shots and ranked them. If you wanna learn some other recipes check this video out.
Another quick note is the quantity of Mexican candy Shots are bigger than a regular shot glass can hold, so technically they’re more considered to be called shooters. I like to use a gibralter glass to serve the shot in, but you can also use a rocks glass instead.
This recipe makes one shooter.
This is my personal favorite recipe on how to make a Mexican Candy Shot, so let’s get into it!
