The Simple Hugo Spritz Cocktail

The Simple Hugo Spritz Cocktail

The Hugo Spritz is another Italian cocktail that is probably the 2nd most popular spritz in Italy next to the Aperol Spritz.

The Spritz recipe differs in that it is a lighter more citrusy take, versus the bitter quality that an Aperol Spritz usually has.

When it comes to a dinner party, this is my preferred Spritz recipe. I haven’t met anyone that hasn’t enjoyed it.

It’s even perfect for people who don’t drink much. One of my besties doesn’t really drink but when she does she likes a good Hugo Spritz.

Let’s make this incredibly simple Hugo Spritz!

Hugo spritz cocktail recipe

In a large wine glass

Add in 1/2 oz elderflower liqueur

Then, add in about 7-8 mint leaves and give them a light muddle

Add 1 1/2 oz soda water

Then, add ice

Top with 4 oz Prosecco or sparkling wine

Give a quick stir to incorporate all the flavors

Cheers!
